Hello stranger!

It has been just about nearly a month since I have even been on here, which feels crazy! It's been a whirlwind of a few weeks , and just a few things have happened... Like, getting married for example!! Now I know that this will sound cliche but to say that your wedding day is one of the most magical days is well, completely true!!! We were so entirely blessed... We had amazing, crazy hot (for Washington folks mind you) weather, the most incredible family and the best of friends! They were all there to support and celebrate our little family and I have truly never felt so blessed!!
Now while I won't go into to much detail today (I'll do another full on wedding post later), I won't keep you any longer-- here are a few snip-bits from our day..

My favorite shot.

Brady Bunch wedding party... Hehe!

Poetic Spectre Imaging photos...

I love photography. I love how it shows how people see the world differently. I love that I can capture moments that hold special memories for my me and my family. I do not personally have much knowledge in photography -as my family knows, so,  It's especially wonderful when you have incredible friends who share their talent with us! Like, our dear friend, Tiffany Price! I shared a sneak peak a while back but now I get to show you the rest of the photos! She really has a way of capturing our little family that I just love!

Photos by: Tiffany Price. You can also check out her facebook page to see more here.

I love these pictures so much!! It was such a amazing shoot and so much fun!! Tiff will also be doing a special photo shoot with us coming up... Stay tuned!!
Hope you all are having a good week so far! Thanks for reading!

Father's Day...

"I never knew how much I loved your daddy until I saw how much he loved you."

Watching Anthony become a daddy and seeing his love for our baby is almost more than my heart can handle! Their love for each other is the sweetest, most sincere love. Leiden watches his daddy with such awe and admiration, already!

"A dad is a son's first Hero..."

I feel as though I grew up with the best dad -my hero! Having my dad for an example I thought Anthony had his work cut out for him! However, he is fulfilling the hero role with such ease to Leidy! He loves him more than himself, he works incredibly hard to take care of his family and he enjoys teaching and playing with him.

"Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a papa."

Any one can father a child but to truly be a Dad takes more- putting your child first and yourself second, unconditional love, devotion, dedication, being goofy, doing whatever it takes to make them happy, etc... I know this man is that sort of father to our son.

No problems being a goof ball with our baby...

He may enjoy it a bit more than I thought....

"A Truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty"

"A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed,  and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society."
-Billy Graham

Happy Father's Day to two of the BEST men and father's I know!!!!
Thank you dad for showing me how to be loved, teaching me about Christ, coaching me through sports and school, making me laugh so hard I snort, playing barbies with me, and always scaring away my bad dreams... Love you!
Babe, thank you for loving our son so much, for working so hard for him, for teaching him, so many late night cuddles, being silly and goofy and doing anything to make him laugh. We are so blessed to have you! I love you with every beat of my heart and I'm so grateful you're mine and Leiden's!

90's flashback, inner childhood, and bad bangs...

My mom recently was going through some old photos of us kids and found a few treasures...While looking through a few of them myself I could not help but laugh, quite literally out loud. The fashion was impeccable and the hair was to diiiie for!! Those of you who grew up in the 90's know what I am talking about. Looking at the photos I know that over the years I have felt that perhaps my childhood self was gone...that I have grown up, become more mature, a little more reserved. However, looking at these pictures I am reassured (maybe panicked) that I haven't changed all that much. That possibly I am that cheesy, flighty, ADHD kid still!

I think that raising a child now, actually brings out more of my childhood self, that I had questioned not having any more, back in full swing! There is nothing more child-like than cracking up over baby toots, burps, blowing bubbles in the bath/pool, making the most ridiculous faces to get him to laugh -you name it! Plus, you don't even care that others are around! It has been so fun bringing out my inner child and re-experiencing the joy that the sillier things in life bring, this time around with my own son.

I have always thought that Leiden did not really look much like me- at all. Heck, I've actually been told that! If it wasn't I who birthed him I may have questioned who's kid he was! Just kidding.. But really, dark hair, skin, super chill etc... However, when I got to see some of my baby pictures I was sort of shocked to see that Leidy actually does look quite a lot like me the more he grows -brunette version albeit! Same goofy-teethy-so large-cheese ball- smile, and loads of hair! It's been so fun to see!! I'll show you some photos below-- hope you get a good laugh out of them like I did!!

Don't laugh to hard...

I don't share food... (this still may be true).

Nice bangs... Sadly didn't learn my lesson at this age.

Happy Easter from the little house and the Prairie girls...

Saltwater sandals ARE still in, but with socks... Washingtonian much, mom?

 Okay this one is cute...

Laura Ingalls Wilder meet Lacey Wear...

This may have been my Grease era... Sorry, Lex!

 Hahahaha

Jeans much? I actually think the whole jean thing might be coming back in.. Not sure about the bandanas but I think we're really making it work!

Well if all of these photos don't take you back to the 90's...

Here's a quick peek at Leidy. Incase ya'll need a reminder picture!

And this gem here was one of Anthony and I's first dates... Yikes!! Ha!

Thanks for reading!! Hope you enjoyed a flash back to the 90's with me and that you take the time to be silly and child-like with your babies!

Picture Preview...

This sunday we got to get our pictures taken by our friend, Tiffany Price! She is such a fun photographer and so easy going-- just great! It cannot always be easy taking pictures of 10 month olds but her and her son Jude were the best at getting him to crack a smile! This was our first time to get pictures taken professionally and I was so nervous! I usually have such a staged, fake smile.. Basically awkward. But Tiff just made us feel right at home and we were our goofy, normal selfs. I'm so excited for her to do many more photos with us! Plus, it was such a good day to be outside at the park -we got so lucky! Okay, I won't wait any longer to show you so here they are...

Whimsical Leidy.

Oh my goodness. My model men! Can I just say I get to spend the rest of my life with this man! I personally think we need about ten more of those sweet little faces around here...

More pictures to come...
You guys should check out Tiff's website here .
Thanks for reading!! Hope you all had a great weekend!
